[size=150]Downgrading/Removing CFW 5.50 GEN A/B/D/C or Prometheus 1/2/3/4.[/size]
1. First download the file below.
Hellcat's Recovery Flasher v1.65: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
2. Now Extract the Recovery Flasher 1.65.zip folder. Then Connect your PSP to the Computer via USB Cable.
3. Now Copy and Paste the RECOVERY folder inside the GAME folder in your PSP.
4. Now Disconnect the PSP from your Computer and RUN the Recovery Flasher.
5. When you see the screen above, go to the option "Install M33 CFW (of version selected above)" and press "X". After that go
to the option "reset (format) settings as well" and press "X" again. Then wait until the proccess finish. When it tells you to
"Press any button to shutdown", do as it says and your PSP will reboot or it will turn it self Off.
6. Turn On your PSP. Now your PSP is on CFW 5.00 M33-6.
If you want to install one of the newest CFW just download your desire CFW and run the Update.
That's about it.

Re: [Tutorial] Downgrading/Removing CFW GEN or Prometheus
Nice tutorial this might be off topic but do u know there is a way to downgrade from 6.39 to 5.50 GEN with a psp 3k i just tried it and it works good lol
Re: [Tutorial] Downgrading/Removing CFW GEN or Prometheus
Sorry Juggs, but a psp 3k will never be able to run 5.50 GEN since PSP Brites (PSP 3000s) aren't fully hackable and they never will be unless some one can crack the pre-IPL on them. That and 5.50 GEN wasn't designed to run on a 3k.
That's why the perma patch was a big thing for 3k's and Go's, but it only works on 6.20
If you really want permanent CFW on a 3k you'll have to stick at 6.20, but if you want a GEN cfw and have a 3k (3g) model you can always downgrade to 5.03 and run 5.03 GEN-C enabler.
Not sure why you would want 5.50 GEN though? the newer CFWs are better.
