"Chronoswitch" Downgrader v5 Released

This multi-firmware downgrader allows you to install a lower (or higher) firmware without any fuss. No complex flash0 sharing, just running the firmware update.

However, there comes restriction with PSP models and compatible firmware. For example, a PSPgo cannot run 1.50 as there are no drivers for the system and the IPL format is incompatible. Much like this, the PSP 3000 09g is unable to install firmwares under 6.30, which removes it's ability to appreciate the flexibility of permanent custom firmware.

This is no longer the case.

Well now it's possible to downgrade 3k 09g to 6.20 and install Perma Patch!! all thanks to psp Dev DAVEE

Turns out there isn’t much difference between a PSP-3000 04g and 09g … and after discovering those differences Davee has patched up his downgrader, releasing Chronoswitch Downgrader version 5. You can read the technical details following the source.

A word of advice though, this is still experimental. The idstorage certificates do NOT belong to a 04g PSP and upgrading and downgrading from <= 6.20 to another <= 6.20 will NOT WORK. It is possible to resign the idstorage with a compatible 04g donor so this is possible, but the effects are unknown.

Props to “Gamefreeak100″ for the first brave and bold steps into a 09g permanent patch world, he sacrificed his PSP for it.

you mean i can upgrade like 6.39 version after i downgrade to 6.20..?

but i try it , but icant... my 6.20 is 09g then i dowgrade it to 6.20.. and now icant go any high version... why.. .:((

will you explain it to me... why did i cant upgrade my psp 6.20 04g to higher version like 6.39.. do you have some upgrader..or some gudget...

you need to download the 6.39 OFW and that cant be found here because it is copywrite sorry :( but you can look for it on google

and does this have a risk of bricking? or does it not touch flash?

wow i sound so much like a newb... but i suppose i still am... haha, but i know how to downgrade lower models.

... Nevermind, i downgraded my 09g psp 3k, nothing went wrong... but now i cant access psn? any idea on why? sorries for triple posting...

use PRO cfw that lets you use psn on 6.20 ;)

Im planning on Going back to 6.20 from 6.60.

My PSP is a 3000 3g. Is this the right Downgrader for what I want to do?

yes it should work. I downgraded my Go back to 6.20 the other day with this.

ok. i downgraded...... PSN isnt working for good now... i had a way to get on it. but now it wont let me access it at all... so... i want to know. if i downgraded my 3k model 09g... and it changed to a 04g... can i update like usuall? i'd rather use a LCFW to get to my PSN.

also. i think i fucked up on my downgrade... the 6.20 OFW update made my PSP have some wierd shit in a different language at first... O.o

I think you gotta use Frostegater's 9g upgrader to updated it back to 6.39 or higher

where can i get that?
